Take a break from exploring Krakow's monuments and spend a day surrounded by the mountains in Zakopane. The most straightforward way to get there - a direct transfer from your hotel with an experienced driver - topped with a taste of real Podhale culture and plenty of time to explore on your own.

Spend your time on Krupówki - the main street of the town, lined with colorful souvenir stalls, regional restaurants, and a very particular mountain atmosphere. Stroll slowly among the stalls, sit down in one of the many regional restaurants and taste local dishes, some of which are hardly available anywhere else in Poland.

Then walk through the intricate streets of Zakopane - with a bit of luck and curiosity, you will find real gems of highland architecture: old wooden villas, traditional gorale buildings, and quiet corners far from the tourist crowd.

The day includes a visit to the oldest traditional mountain hut, where you will taste oscypek - the legendary smoked highlander cheese - along with a shot of regional vodka. A straightforward but genuine Podhale experience.
